Who are Peridot SDC?
James is a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 30 years experience in private and public sectors. Since moving to Cornwall in 2008 James has worked with a broad range of clients on a wide variety of building types from tin mines, lighthouses and churches to schools, barns and cottages. Since joining the Diocese in 2013 James has built up relationships with church and community schools focussing particularly on helping clients develop coherent maintenance and improvement strategies against a changing funding landscape. James is also a member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation and the Diocesan Advisory Committee and can advise schools and PCCs with historic buildings on how to maintain and alter these without harming their special interest.
Mike is a Chartered Architectural Technologist with extensive experience in the education field over the last 10 years along with individual residential projects. Mike has worked in architectural practices across the UK as part of multi-disciplinary teams in providing public and private sector initiatives including community, commercial, industrial and residential projects incorporating housing associations, large scale house builders and private clients. Mike is experienced in delivering a practical and economic building design solution from feasibility right through to completion on site including all relevant planning & building regulation approvals.
